It's possible the two eye sores could be things of the past very soon
The Pritchett Ford building was purchased by Oxford Construction
ALBANY, GA -- The Heritage House's days are numbered and the city is announcing another large piece of blight on Slappey Boulevard will follow suit.
The old Pritchett Ford building next to Krispy Kreme on Slappey may be demolished as early as this June.
The city didn't have to take the matter to court--instead the bank decided to enter into a purchase agreement that will take care of demolition and the hundreds of tires that were left inside.
“We've learned that Oxford Construction Company, they have a contract to purchase it and we've seen some equipment out on the side already to where they're starting to do some minor items,” Said City Attorney Nathan Davis.
As for the Heritage House, the city has filed a petition asking the court to require demolition.
It will go to court this Wednesday, and if approved, the judge will name a day the city can proceed with demolition.
