Animal control has released a list of regulations they will be enforcing

ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Animal Control Unit will begin strict enforcement of certain regulations.

Here's a list of compliances:

Tethering dogs as a primary means of confinement is prohibited.

All tethered animals must wear collars.

Animals may be tethered with cables or chains, but they must be of minimal weight and thickness--large, heavy chains are prohibited.

No animal shall be fitted with weights of any kind.

Keeping livestock within city limits is prohibited.

Violators will receive a citation and will be fined.
