Event to honor African American culture, business

ALBANY, GA. -- Business and community leaders came together today for the Albany Area Black Expo kick off.

The event itself will be held April 15th through 16th around the Darton College campus.

Organizers say the celebration of African American culture, community, and business will benefit everyone.

“We want to strengthen businesses and their relationships with one another and we just want to build better communities and really transform the economy in Albany,” said Chris Pike of Urban Pulse Media.

The expo schedule includes business workshops, a comedy showcase, and a musical concert featuring Joe and Kem.
