CRISP COUNTY, GA -- A Crisp County veterinarian is busted for allegedly using his home and office for a marijuana growing center.

The Mid-South Narcotics Task Force, Crisp County Sheriff's Office, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested 51-year-old Ronald Lee Wilkie on Wednesday. Wilkie practices veterinary medicine in Arabi, Georgia. Drug agents say they found 80 marijuana plants growing inside Wilkie’s house and 20 plants in his veterinarary clinic.

The grow operation was reportedly set up to produce various species of marijuana. Cops also arrested 32-year-old Brandon Wayne Nutt of Cordele during the drug sting.

Wilkie and Nutt are charged with manufacturing marijuana and conspiracy to distribute marijuana. Both men are being held in the Crisp County Detention Center
