Lt. Col. Donald E. Gray spent eight months overseas

ALBANY, GA -- A Lieutenant Colonel returned to Albany Wednesday from Afghanistan.

Lt. Col. Donald E. Gray was at Camp Leatherneck for eight months. He ran a forwarding store for combat replacements. He says after this first deployment, he missed his family the most.

“My family, just spending some quality family time, more than anything else, just these angels here and my wife for all the years they put up with the back and forth, I’ve missed them. And I want to take a bath!” Said Lt. Col. Gray.

He says while there is high morale overseas, he still encourages folks here to let them know they are appreciated.
