People searching for cops to direct traffic

ALBANY, GA. -- A few viewers contacted FOX 31 News this morning voicing their frustration with the lack of police presence directing traffic at various intersections around Albany.

Captain Reginald Brown says APD had officers strategically placed directing traffic, but they didn’t man every power-less stop light.  “Based on the fact that we had so many intersections where the lights were out, we had officers at the ones where we thought there would be some issues or where there is typically a lot of traffic.  That's where we had the officers out” says Brown.

Police expect people to use the four way stop method when lights are out and an officer isn’t present.
