Exchange Club of Albany recognized Firefighter and EMT of the Year

ALBANY, GA -- In dense fire, Albany Firefighter Dwayne Mann found an unconscious victim and dragged the person outside to safety.

For his actions on August 16, Mann was awarded the Firefighter of the Year by the Exchange Club of Albany on Friday as a part of the club's annual Fire Prevention program. Mann’s been with the Albany Fire Department for 11 months.

“After spending time in the Marine Corps for five years I learned that I enjoy a life of service. I like to make the world a little bit better of a place,” says Mann.

Robby Head was recognized as EMT of the Year and says he is very grateful for the award. Head has served as an EMT for 11 years.
