ALBANY, GA -- A high-tech donation is going a long way to helping out at a local Boys and Girls Club.

The Albany office received a brand new refrigerator, washer & dryer, and a television courtesy of Samsung.

Officials say not only are they welcome upgrades, but the energy efficient products are also helping teach the children.

“Not only are they learning life skills, but they are learning skills that will help their families save money and also save the environment, so this is very important,” said Marvin Laster of the Boys and Girls Club.

Part of the boys and girls club curriculum is about energy conservation. The new products are valued at more than $5,000 dollars.
