MOULTRIE, GA -- A Moultrie man faces several charges following an incident that took place Monday afternoon.
17-year-old Chris M. Williams is charged with simple battery, criminal trespassing, interfering with a 911 call, obstruction, and false imprisonment.
Police were called to a house on Eighth Avenue Northwest about a 911 hang-up call. When theyr arrived, a female from inside the house was heard screaming.
Misty Toles told officers that her ex-boyfriend, identified as Williams, slapped her in the left eye, and when she tried to call 911, he grabbed the phone and told an E-911 dispatcher the baby had been playing with the phone and hung it up.
Toles told police this call was the fourth time an officer was requested this month, which the officer confirmed.
When police went to speak with Williams about the incident, he was very loud and aggressive, yelling at Toles and punching the wall. The officer told him to sit down but he refused, so the officer forced him to sit down.
Williams was placed under arrest after some resistance. After being detained, Williams admitted to hitting Toles and that he does things like this when he gets mad, especially when people lie to him.
