Crisis Center holds domestic violence luncheon

ALBANY, GA -- The Liberty House Crisis Center wants Southwest Georgians to know the 'Faces of Domestic Violence.'

The center held a lunch and learn about domestic violence at Darton College today.

Speakers included several women affected by domestic violence.

"They walk among us every day and we don't know who they are and we have common misconceptions and myths surrounding who these people are," said Silke Deeley of the Liberty Crisis Center.

One in three women nationally will face domestic abuse in their lifetime.
