ALBANY, GA -- Minnesota Vikings quarterback and former Atlanta Falcons player Brett Favre is in hot water over allegations that he was sexting nude pictures of himself to a former co-worker.

Deadspin.com has posted the pictures on their website along with voicemails to the woman.

Favre allegedly sent the messages to Jenn Sterger, a Maxim and Playboy model, while they both worked for the New York Jets.

Favre has not addressed the allegations specifically.

It’s a problem that can happen to anyone and who doesn't like new technology? Today's gadgets are fun and you can just do so much with them; taking pictures, sending e-mail, even reading books.

But with that technology comes some major pitfalls.

Anything that you put out there is out there and is out there forever,” said Christy Goodwin, owner of Albany Computer.

She says all of these cell phones, laptops, and even digital cameras leave a cyber footprint.

“The problem is that these are digital images and once they are out of your profession, you have no control over them,” said Goodwin.

It's not just a problem for celebrities, for everyday people, their most private matters can become very public.

For example you want to take sexy picture for your significant other on your phone, but once the image is saved it's very easy for someone else to get a hold of it.

“Even with text messages there are ways of tracking those. There are programs that can be installed that will recover. There are programs that can be installed without your knowledge that will forward them to other phones,” said Goodwin.

Cyber sending has gotten so bad it's a hazard for American marriages.

“Just a click of the mouse and your where maybe you'd never thought you'd be or you really thought ‘I didn't intend this,’” said Marriage and Family Therapist Elaine Gurley.

So the next time you send a text or take a picture, Goodwin has a rule of thumb.

“Never ever take a picture of something that you don't on the front page of yahoo or all over Facebook, or anything you don't want your grandmother to see when she is surfing online,” said Goodwin.
