COLQUITT COUNTY, GA -- The Colquitt County Sheriff’s Department tells FOX 31 News that two men and a woman involved in a Saturday night burglary had three children with them at the time.

The burglary happened about 8:30 p.m. at a house in the 500 block of Julius Higgs Road near Ellenton.

Deputies say a neighbor, Carlton Perry, heard noises coming from the house.  Perry told officers that when he went next door to see what was going on the suspects hopped in their Jeep Cherokee and left the scene.

Perry reportedly followed the suspects in his truck.  When the Jeep ran into a ditch on a sharp curve, most of the suspects ran away, but Perry was able to detain one of the adults.

26-year-old Alfredo Lara Sr., 22-year-old Ozzie Martin, and 22-year-old Isis Argueta were charged with burglary.

The children in the Jeep were 4, 5, and 13-years old.
