Officials credit ad blitz for getting voters to polls
ALBANY, GA -- Early voting continued in Dougherty County today.
Election officials say they’re pleased with the turnout so far.
They credit the blitz of political advertising – both positive and negative – for driving voters to the polls in greater numbers.
"There are a lot of people that turn on the television , everyday that watch TV and that makes them aware of what’s going on, who the candidates are, that there’s an election going on," said Ginger Nickerson of Dougherty County Registration and Elections.
Election Day is November 2nd.
