ALBANY, GA -- The Memory Walk also helped one teen become an Eagle Scout.

Jacob Benton created the archway that marked the start and finish line. He says his goal was to create something the association could use more than once.

Benton says it was an honor to help out with the cause. “It’s a really serious problem as you know Alzheimer’s is the 7th leading cause of death in America which is incredible and it just needs to be brought more attention than it is,” says Benton.

Benton also volunteered by walking and handing out drinks.
