Dougherty County police looking for 29-year-old Aaron Bennett

ALBANY, GA -- Dougherty County police are looking for a man they say broke a woman’s finger with a car door.

29-year-old Aaron Bennett is accused of running into Melissa Guzman with his mini-van as he was leaving her home on Tiger Court.

The couple’s 1-month-old baby was in the van at the time in an unsecured car seat.

"He backed out of the driveway, drove just a short distance down to the stop sign, turned around, came back to the residence, stopped, opened the door, and set the car seat with the child in it out on the ground," said Captain James Sexton of the Dougherty County Police Department.

The baby was not hurt.

Bennett – who lives in Douglas County – is wanted on charges of aggravated assault and reckless conduct.
