There are plenty of things to do this Labor Day in Albany
ALBANY, GA -- If you have the day off on Labor Day and you still don’t know what you’re going to do with it, there is plenty to do in Albany.
For many people the holiday means that summer is coming to an end, and what better way to close out summer than with a barbeque.
We expect that many people heated up the grill this weekend and more will do it on the holiday.
And if you're looking to get closer to nature, the Parks at Chehaw will be open Monday.
“It’s just a different quiet place. It’s very family oriented the play park is very popular and very fun for the kids. The wild animal park is an easy walk. It's not huge but it's big enough to give you a sense of getting out. It can be very relaxing,” said Chehaw Maintenance Manager Don Meeks.
If you feel like using your day off to spend some of your hard earned money. Just head to the mall where many stores like JC Penny, Sears and Old Navy are having Labor Day sales.
The mall will be open for regular operating hours; 10 a.m. To 9 p.m.
Or join the crowd at the Riverfront Amphitheatre where there a Labor Day celebration honoring American workers. There will be food and music and it’s free to the public.
