ALBANY, GA -- Albany Police schooled some debutantes about technology safety. The Utilis Matronae Club's 2010 Debutantes and their escorts got a lesson on computer and texting safety. The group learned about the dangers of sexting, social networking, and chat rooms.

Detective Tywon Heath says activities like sexting can get you into a lot of trouble. “It seems so innocent at the time but what it could end up doing is hurting someone in the future because with sexting it goes from one person to the next and the next thing you know it’s all over the world,” says Heath.

Police say it’s important for children and parents to know about the dangers of technology.
