A man convicted of slashing his girlfriend's throat was sentenced Wednesday

ALBANY, GA. -- A man convicted of slashing his girlfriend's throat was sentenced Wednesday.

A judge sentenced Mark Dwyne White to 20 years in prison and 20 years probation.

Prosecutors said White broke into his girlfriend's house last September and cut her with a knife while her two children watched.

White was also charged with burglary and cruelty to children.
