ATLANTA (AP) -- A second person has been arrested for trying to pass through security at the Fulton County Courthouse in Atlanta with a handgun.
Fulton County sheriff's spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan says Michelle Edwards-Webb was caught with an unloaded handgun and seven rounds in her purse around 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Flanagan says the Douglasville woman was at the courthouse to file for a temporary protection order.
In an apparently unrelated incident earlier that day, lawyer Kirby Turnage was found with a loaded gun in his leather bag. Flanagan says he told deputies he forgot the gun was in his bag.
Flanagan says neither had a permit to carry a concealed weapon and each will face charges.
Flanagan says that in both cases, courthouse security saw the guns using scanning machines.
