(AP) -- ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. (AP) - The 116th Air Control Wing at Robins Air Force Base will soon be divided into two units.

Judy Smith, a spokeswoman for the 116th, says the split will separate active duty airmen in the unit from Air National Guard members assigned to the 116th.

The move reverses a change made in 2002 that combined the two components under one commander.

Smith says active duty airmen in the 116th will be consolidated under an active duty commander, with Air National Guard airmen under a Guard commander.

The unit's 17 J-STARS aircraft will remain under the domain of the Air National Guard, though the active duty pilots will continue to fly with their Guard counterparts.
