(AP) -- DECATUR, Ga. (AP) - Police in DeKalb County are looking for a woman they say took off with her twin babies after their father was shot during a custody exchange.
Police were called to an apartment complex Sunday night after the exchange ended in gunfire. The 1-year-old twins had spent the weekend with their father, who police say was preparing to give them back to their mother.
The father's parents say the children's mother and her boyfriend arrived and gunfire rang out.
Police say the twins' father, Kaashif Johnson, was shot in the leg and in the hand and is recovering at Atlanta Medical Center.

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (AP) - Police in DeKalb County say warrants are being sought in the shooting of a man who had just turned over his 1-year-old twin sons during a custody exchange at a Stone Mountain apartment complex.
Police say they're looking for a woman they say took off with the twins after their father was shot.
They say the man had custody of the children for the weekend and was returning them to the mother on Sunday night when he was shot in the leg and the hand. They say the man, identified as Kaashif Johnson, was treated at Atlanta Medical Center and released Monday morning.
The father's family says the children's mother arrived, with her current boyfriend in another vehicle, and shots rang out.
