"Health Information Technology" begins in July

Albany Technical College held a ribbon cutting ceremony today.  ATC introduced its newest program, Health Information Technology.

The program combines health care with information technology. Health information technicians are responsible for maintaining and analyzing data crucial to the delivery of quality patient care.

HIT program chair, Victoria Mills says this program allows students to see different sides of healthcare.

“Legal aspects, the coding, the reimbursement, just knowing what happens in healthcare,” said Mills.

The program begins in July.
