Awareness walk brings attention to health complications children without shoes face

More than 200 students were supposed to participate in the awareness walk, however due to a thunderstorm only 10 participated in the walk.

Students ditched their shoes and walked around campus to bring awareness to the fact that children all over the world don’t have shoes.

Not wearing shoes leads to numerous health and social issues such as getting an infection and not being able to attend school without a pair of shoes.

Darton College was one of hundreds of locations across the U.S. to participate in the “One Day Without Shoes” program.
