City leaders are getting ready to pitch downtown Albany to a group of state leaders and developers.

The Heart and Soul Bus Tour will come to Albany next week for the first time in 10 years. On that bus will be 54 people from the Georgia Municipal Association, the Georgia Cities Foundation, developers, and philanthropists. To get these potential investors interested in downtown Albany, Interim ADICA CEO James Taylor and others will hit on “talking points.” Those points will range from Albany's healthcare systems to low cost of living.

“We want to overpower them with all of those kinds of things that this community offers,” Taylor said. “We’ve got our Tax Allocation District completed, so we are ready to move forward with some downtown redevelopments.”

The group arrives Wednesday afternoon.
