State troopers say Glenn Graves driving a white pickup truck on U.S. 19 turned in front of Traci Lanier driving a Honda Accord at the Ledo Road intersection around 8:30

A multi-vehicle wreck backed up traffic on North Slappey Boulevard Thursday morning.

State troopers say Glenn Graves driving a white pickup truck on U.S. 19 turned in front of Traci Lanier driving a Honda Accord at the Ledo Road intersection around 8:30. The truck also hit a bigger industrial truck. Albany police say 72-year-old Charles Smith, Jr., of Smithville, driving a Toyota Avalon hit Corporal Larold Dent driving a police car responding to the scene.

Lanier was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. Graves is charged with failure to yield. Smith is charged with failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
