An Albany man wanted in connection with a fatal hit and run turns himself in to police.
Detectives say Antwan Jermaine Fields turned himself in at the Dougherty County Jail Sunday night.
Fields is charged with tampering with evidence and obstruction of an officer. Fields is the owner of a 1996 Buick Park Avenue that was reportedly involved in a hit and run in January that killed 66-year-old Roosevelt Cooley. Cooley was struck by two vehicles while attempting to cross Oglethorpe and Jefferson Street in Downtown Albany.
