Lee County Sheriff Reggie Rachals took FOX 31 News out on a search boat to show just what they’re up against in their week-long search for 77-year-old Fannie Corley

Search teams are working overtime to try and find a missing Lee County woman. Seven days of searching has turned up no results.

Lee County Sheriff Reggie Rachals took FOX 31 News out on a search boat to show just what they’re up against in their week-long search for 77-year-old Fannie Corley. Search teams have combed through two miles of Lake Chehaw since Christmas Eve when Corley’s abandoned car was found on the Jefferson Street Bridge over the lake. With cold temperatures and a strong current, Rachals doesn’t know if they’ll find Corley, but he says they’re not calling off the search just yet. They will bring back cadaver dogs to search the lake on Thursday.

“It’s a hard decision to make when you’ve got somebody’s family, loved one out here,” Rachals said.

Corley’s family told FOX 31 News they’re not ready to talk about their missing loved one on camera, but say the outpouring of support from the community, local law enforcement, and volunteers is overwhelming.
