Cadaver dogs picked up a scent on Lake Chehaw Monday afternoon, but there's still no sign of 77-year-old Fannie Corley

Rescue teams have now been searching Lake Chehaw for five days looking for any sign of a missing elderly woman.

Cadaver dogs and divers are the latest tools law enforcement is using to try and find Lee County's 77-year-old Fannie Corley. Corley disappeared on Christmas Eve. Her abandoned car was found on the Jefferson Street bridge over the lake. K-9 dogs tracked Corley’s last scent to the bridge and Lee County Sheriff Reggie Rachals says that’s why they’re searching the water.

Cadaver dog specialist Tracy Sargent brought in cadaver dogs for the fifth day of the search. The dogs picked up a scent near the Philema Road Bridge Monday afternoon, but Albany-Dougherty Search and Rescue divers found nothing. However, the divers could only stay in the water for about 10 minutes due to cold temperatures.

Albany Fire Chief James Carswell says the search will resume Tuesday morning.
