Police looking for serial rapist near Atlanta
(AP) -- DeKalb County police are looking for a serial rapist who they believe has attacked as many as six women in apartments near Stone Mountain.
DeKalb County Police Lt. K.D. Johnson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Thursday that three of the rapes have been
positively linked through DNA. He said investigators are waiting for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to finish tests on the
other three. The attacks occurred between Sept. 26 and Nov. 28. Police believe the suspect hides around the apartment complexes at night and then follows women who are alone.
Police have beefed up patrols in the neighborhood, including officers on foot and undercover detectives.
