Final plan to be approved by 2011

The Albany Economic Development Commission held its monthly board meeting today.

The EDC invited representatives from the Georgia Water Planning and Policy Center to speak about a water project.  During the next year the EDC will be preparing to implement a water policy plan.  The project will help with mainly water conservation and how to make sure Southwest Georgia is using most efficiently says EDC President Ted Clem.

“We want to make sure that the water conservation plan that gets put into place fits us and not just live with the same plan the region around Atlanta has,” said Clem.

Clem says the final plan should be approved by 2011.
