Georgia to get rains, heavy wind as storms pass
(AP) -- A line of thunderstorms is moving through Georgia, bringing with it showers and winds of up to 60 mph.
Kent McMullen, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, says most of the state will get up to 2 inches of rain before the storms pass Tuesday.
He said some isolated areas could see 3 inches, but forecasters are only predicting minor flooding for most of the state.
He says the strong winds could spawn tornadoes in some areas.
