Owner Mark Grimaldi says the expansion will cost $5 million, take six to eight months, and create 40 new jobs by the end of 2010

Albany business Equinox Chemicals will double in size over the next year.

Owner Mark Grimaldi along with city and county leaders made the announcement today outside the W. Oakridge Ave. business. Grimaldi says the expansion will cost $5 million and take six to eight months. The business will take over three nearby buildings, including LRA Constructions and Artesian Contracting. Those businesses have agreed to relocate. Grimaldi says they’re also buying 25 acres of land behind the business.

Grimaldi says the expansion will add 40 new jobs by the end of 2010.
