Four teenage girls were standing on the side of the road at least 11 shots were fired
(AP) -- Three teenage girls have been injured in a drive-by shooting in Clayton County.
County Police spokesman Officer Kevin Hughes tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution the shooting occurred around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in an unincorporated section of Clayton County near Jonesboro.
Four teenage girls were standing on the side of the road talking to a group of boys when a car with several men pulled up and one of the men opened fire. The gunman fired at least 11 shots before the car sped off.
Hughes said three of the girls were struck and were rushed to Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale Police described their injuries as non-life-threatening.
