(AP) -- A group of 30 boy scouts from Texas found their trip from San Antonio to Indiana a little more complicated than expected when they were bumped from a flight in Atlanta.
Delta Airlines ended up paying the cost for the scouts to charter a bus and take them Saturday the 611 miles from Atlanta to the scouting competition in Indiana. It was a more than nine-hour bus trip. The scouts flew to Atlanta after being bumped from their original scheduled flight in San Antonio.
Delta officials initially tried to scheduled the scouts on a flight Sunday morning, but scout leaders said that would cause them to be disqualified from some of the competition at the National Order of the Arrow Conference at Indiana University.
