Police say drunk drivers will go to jail

Today marks the first day of “Operation: Zero Tolerance” in Georgia for the July 4th holiday.

Dougherty County Police say they use this time to crackdown on drunk driving during the summer. Officers say they’ll be out in full force.

“It depends on what kind of activity we have. They’ll go well into the midnight hour and could so even longer than that depending on our arrests,” said Lieutenant Tommy Jackson.

Police say if you’re caught drinking and driving you will go to jail.
