Supporters of former Assistant Fire Chief Roderick Jolivette took their concerns to the City Commission at Tuesday night's meeting.

A large group gathered at the meeting, where they told City commissioners that the Albany Fire Department is a hostile work environment for African Americans. They asked for Jolivette to be reinstated as well as receive retroactive pay.

Since it was a personnel matter, commissioners were not permitted to speak on the subject.
