Officials say be sure that you display symptoms of the swine flu before going to the emergency room
The Centers for Disease Control is still telling everyone to remain calm about the Swine Flu. Local officials say it's important to recognize the difference between cold symptoms and flu symptoms.
With a cold, a person has a runny nose with some congestion. With the flu, a person will be tired and feeling head aches and body ahces and will be running a mid to high-grade fever. Dr. Jacqueline Grant with the Health Department says the best key to keep the swine flu from spreading is to wash your hands constantly.
If a case of Swine Flu is confirmed in south Georgia, an investigation will begin. Decision makers will then decide whether to close schools and businesses depending on the severity of the case.
