All the non-profit organizations in Albany and Dougherty County came together Saturday honoring their volunteers.

The volunteers received tickets for free admission to many Albany attractions such as the Riverquarium and the Civil Rights Museum. Special Olympics County Coordinator, Karen Beasley says she would be lost with the help of volunteers.

“We cannot function.  They would be no Special Olympics in Dougherty County. I have 456 athletes, there’s no way that I could do what we do without the volunteers. All of our programs are volunteered based, one person can’t do it, we have to have the support of this community and our volunteers.”
