Albany police are seeing their share of activity.  In the last 24 hours, they've seen at least six burglary cases.

One woman says someone stole $17,000 from her home.  The 33-year-old woman said she came home to her apartment in The Gardens to find her door slightly open and $17,000 in cash missing.  APD spokesperson Phyllis Banks-Whitley says she does not know if the woman was keeping her money in a lock box or a safe.  People may be a little worried about their money, especially with the economic downturn, however President of Ameris Bank, Don Monk says folks should not take large amounts of money out of the bank.  Monk says banks are reliable and have been reliable for a reason.

Right now, there are two suspects in that specific burglary case.
