Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital held a banquet Friday night to recognize breast cancer survivors.
This month Phoebe Putney is partnering with the 100 Black Men of Albany and the Georgia Department of Community Health to encourage all women to get a mammogram. Phoebe's annual Women's Health Fair takes place Saturday at 311 Third Avenue. There will be door prizes and free health screenings as well as a cooking demonstration.
The special guest speaker will be Beverly Kirkhart, the best selling author of "Chicken Soup for the Surviving Soul."
