Investigators say drug dealers are mixing strawberry quick with meth
Drug dealers may be finding a way to market their drugs to your child.
Major Derrell Smith with the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit says they've heard of cases in the West where investigators have found methamphetamine flavored with strawberry quick. Snopes.com, a website that debunks urban myths, says it's true drug dealers are flavoring meth, but say it's not meant to entice children. Investigators say the key for parents is to communicate with their child and know what's going on in their lives.
Investigators also warn parents to watch what their chidlren eat this Halloween. Even though Major Smith says they haven't seen any cases in Albany, Smith says it's better to be safe than sorry.
