ALBANY, GA -- In the Facebook story of the day, you wanted to know how the
chamber of commerce
benefits local citizens.
The Albany-area chamber of commerce is a membership based organization.
While the chamber may not directly do things for a normal citizen, when they do things for business community, the effects will trickle down to the employees.
They also can help the unemployed; "there's a job creation component to it, so that being said those who are unemployed will have additional employment in our local area," said Chris Hardy, the President of the Albany Area Chamber.
