Our Birth Place, the labor and delivery unit at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, is celebrating it's 25th year anniversary with a special event on Tuesday, November 20th at 5:30 pm at the new facility.

Officials with the hospital say that special guests will be some of the young men and women who were born in the unit at the hospital (formerly Sumter Regional Hospital) in 1987. 

Refreshments will be provided along with a guided tour of the new labor and delivery unit featuring suites that allow mothers to experience labor, delivery, recovery and treatment for postpartum in the same room along with state-of-the-art technology and comforts of home.
