ALBANY, GA. --

The U.S. Marine Corps is celebrating 237 years of service.

Ladies and gentlemen stepped out in their formal wear for the annual Marine Corps Birthday Ball.

Thousands from the Albany Marine Corps Logistics Base and Marine Corps Logistic Command joined for a night of dancing and fellowship.

“This is something that we do every day. This is our primary way each year of honoring and remembering those who served in the past and still serve today,” said Captain Kyle Thomas.

The ceremony was held at Darton State College.
