ALBANY, GA --
First Update (2/14/13)
Albany police say that after a tip that someone was attempting to sell the televisions in a home in the 1400 block of Lee Street, an arrest has been made.
Officers obtained a search warrant, but no televisions were recovered. However, a cell phone containing pictures of the stolen televisions was found and the photos were being shared as a way to advertise and sell the televisions.
Investigators say that 39-year-old Julian Parker has been been charged with theft by receiving stolen property.
Initial Story (2/13/13)
The Albany Police Department is investigating the disappearance of thirty, 37-inch flat screen televisions from a storage container owned by the Hilton Garden Inn.
Officials say that the televisions were set to be installed Wednesday morning, but when the installers went to retrieve the televisions from the container, the door was slightly ajar and the lock was believed to have been cut.
Anyone with information regarding the burglary should call Crime Stoppers at 229-436-TIPS or the Albany Police Department. Those caught in possession of the televisions could face theft by taking charges.
