ALBANY, GA --
Dougherty County Police
investigators need your help investigating a robbery at the Sylvester Road Fast Lane that occurred Sunday morning before 2 AM.
Investigators say that two black males walked up to the front door with a cement block and attempted to break the bottom portion of the front door by throwing the brick inside. However, the bottom half was made of Plexiglas and the brick bounced off. They then tried to bust the top half of the door's glass window, with the brick and were successful, however, they did activate the store's alarm system.
The two suspects only spent a total of 24 seconds in the store, taking the time to grab multiple cartons of Newport Cigarettes.
Officers say that one of the men fell onto his head while trying to make his way out of the store. The man recovered and both suspects fled the scene on foot.
Authorities say that one suspect was dressed in a red hood sweat shirt, dark colored athletic shorts, white socks, low top basketball shoes and had a white plastic bag while the other man wore a blue ball cap with red bill, purple hood and white jacket, tan/light green back pack, black sweat pants, black socks, and blue high-top shoes with light blue stripes.
If you have any information on this case, you are encouraged to call the Dougherty County Police Department at (229)430-6600.
