SUMTER COUNTY, GA --
A Southwest Georgia woman has made some new head gear for babies at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.

Newborns at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center will have new headgear for the winter courtesy of Wendy Henson.

“I used to knit hats for my friends who had babies, but lately none of them have had any,” said Henson in the release.  “One of my friends also knits and was donating her hats to her local hospital, so I decided to do the same thing in my community.”

Officials with the hospital say that the hats will be given to the babies born at Our Birth Place at Phoebe Sumter, which is celebrating its 25 year anniversary this month.
