SYLVESTER, GA --
Downtown Sylvester encouraged its residents to keep their Christmas shopping local with the annual Christmas Open House.

Participating shops kept their doors open a little longer for the event that lasted all weekend. Customers were able to get special discounts, enjoy refreshments, and be entered in raffles as an incentive for shopping at the locally-owned businesses.

"Here in Worth County that dollar circulates 3 and 4 times before it leaves so it's just a great way that they can promote the whole downtown as a whole and whatever they're offering in their stores,” said Downtown Sylvester Enhancement Manager, Brittany Evans.

The next and final time residents can buy their presents at these discounted prices will be on December 6th during Sylvester's First Thursday celebration.
