ALBANY, GA --
Darton State College met with local business leaders Wednesday morning to discuss their involvement in Darton’s growth efforts.

According to Darton State College Chairman Glenn Tennyson, Darton has stopped receiving funds from the state for four-year degree programs.

Last year, the school was given grants to fund their four-year nursing program, but with plans to start various other four-year programs, they need additional funds. That’s where the business community’s involvement comes into play.

Tennyson spoke to business leaders about how important their donations are, and how much these programs will positively affect the economic future of Albany.
