Artist uses childhood tools to express himself

To commemorate Black History Month, the Albany Area Arts Council is displaying the artwork of one South Georgia artist who's using something other than paint to express himself.

The entire collection of artwork by Gene Threats was finished with color pencils.

The showcase is themed 'People, Places, and Community.' Threats showcase is centered around religion and family.

The artist says he came up with the idea of because of his love for people.

The showcase will run through the end of the month.
